The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will have invested around $100 million this year in Armenia\u2019s private sector, Valeriu Razlog, head of EBRD Yerevan Office, told ARKA today.<\/p>\n<p>He said since its inception in Armenia in 1992 and to this date EBRD has invested over 550 million euros in over 100\u00a0 projects in financial, corporate, energy and infrastructure sectors<\/p>\n<p>Razlog said in 2013 the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will again focus on providing assistance to private sector.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will do it by providing credit lines to partner banks and through direct funding. This is\u00a0 our main goal. We will also provide loans in local currency, the dram, to\u00a0 commercial banks for the financing of small and medium enterprises,&#8221;\u00a0 Razlog said.<\/p>\n<p>The EBRD is one of the largest investors in Armenia, cooperating with local private companies since\u00a0 1992.
