YEREVAN, October 5. \/ ARKA \/<\/strong>. The amount of outstanding mortgage loans issued by Armenia-based banks stood at 123.9 billion drams at the end of October, the Central Bank of Armenia said in a statement posted on its official website. It said the figure represents a 0.47% rise from the previous month.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, mortgage lending made in Armenia\u2019s national currency, the dram, grew by 0.28 percent from September to 63.4 billion drams, while loans in foreign currency grew by 0.66 percent to 60.4 billion drams. The Central bank said also mortgage loans accounted for 8.5 percent of all outstanding loans, which at the end of October stood at 1.449 trillion drams, growing by 0.24 percent from September.
