Armenian banks\u2019 investments in government bonds grew to 157.1 billion drams in late October, 16.2% up from September, according to a statement posted on the official website of the Central Bank of Armenia.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, Armenian residents\u2019 investments in government bonds stood at 234.6 billion drams, a 4.7% rise from the previous month.<\/p>\n<p>The banks accounted for almost 67 percent of all investments in government bonds. The Central Bank of Armenia\u2019s share stood at 22.7% and the share of non-bank agents, dealers and investors was 10.3%.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, the total investments of residents and nonresidents in government bonds in late October stood at 234.8 billion drams.
