Armenian government\u2019s debt to commercial banks was 161.3bln drams as of the end of October 2012, an increase of 3.5% compared to September, the Central Bank reports.<\/p>\n<p>Government\u2019s net liabilities to banks were 82.3bln drams, a 16.5% increase against September.<br \/>\nOn the other hand, according to the Central Bank, commercial banks\u2019 liabilities to the government totaled 78.9bln drams, which is a reduction 7.2% against September.<\/p>\n<p>Commercial banks\u2019 requirements towards the Central Bank grew by 4.6% to 271.7bln drams compared to September.<\/p>\n<p>Net requirements of Armenian commercial banks to the Central Bank totaled 142.7bln drams. In October, commercial banks\u2019 liabilities to the Central Bank rose by 0.7% to 128.9bln drams against September.<\/p>\n<p>There were 21 commercial banks registered in Armenia as of the end of October, 2012.
