{"id":57024,"date":"2013-06-27T10:25:27","date_gmt":"2013-06-27T10:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2013\/06\/27\/238780\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:05:35","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:05:35","slug":"u-s-dollar-rises-for-sixth-straight-session-marketwatch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2013\/06\/27\/57024\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. dollar rises for sixth straight session: Marketwatch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, June 27. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The U.S. dollar rose on Wednesday, with the recent push higher supported by expectations that the Federal Reserve will slow down monetary stimulus later this year.<\/p>\n<p>The euro EURUSD +0.18% fell against the dollar, pushing below $1.30 intraday and fetching $1.3004 in recent trade, down from $1.3095 late Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The dollar has more room to gain against the euro because of the \u201cdiverging growth stories\u201d in the two economies, said John Doyle, director of markets at Tempus Inc.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have said the entire year we don\u2019t see a reason to buy euro above $1.30,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>A potential slowing of the Fed\u2019s $85 billion a month in asset purchases later this year has worried markets since the central-bank\u2019s monetary policy statement was released last week, showing more optimism about the economy. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke last week indicated the central bank may slow the pace of bond buying as early as this year if the economy continues to improve within its forecasts.
