{"id":59877,"date":"2013-08-14T09:41:38","date_gmt":"2013-08-14T09:41:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2013\/08\/14\/239117\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:06:28","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:06:28","slug":"gold-transactions-of-armenias-commercial-banks-totaled-1-4bln-drams-in-q2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2013\/08\/14\/59877\/","title":{"rendered":"Gold transactions of Armenia\u2019s Commercial Banks totaled 1.4bln drams in Q2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, August 14. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Gold transactions of Armenia\u2019s commercial banks (\u201cprecious metal\u201d deposits, standardized precious metal bars and commemorative coins) totaled 1.4 billion drams in the second quarter of this year, a 2.4-time increase against the level of the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n<p>An analysis by ARKA showed that Armswissbank is the leader in volume of precious metal transactions as of the end of the second quarter: its gold transactions constituted about 36.03% of the overall volume of such transactions by Armenia\u2019s commercial banks. Armswissbank\u2019s gold transactions amounted to a total of 512.6 million drams by the end of June 2013, more than six times as much as the volume recorded in the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The next four banks with largest volume of gold transactions are Ameriabank (509.4mln drams, 4.6-time increase, with a 35.81% share in overall volume of gold transactions), Conversebank 93.6mln drams, 16.4% reduction, the share \u2013 6.93%),\u00a0 Armbusinessbank (96.5mln drams, 4-time increase, share in overall volume 6.78%) and Unibank (65.8mln drams, 24.9% reduction, the share is 4.03%).<\/p>\n<p>In general, out of 21 commercial banks operating in Armenia in the reporting quarter only 11 effected gold transactions.<\/p>\n<p>There were 21 banks with 478 branches operating in Armenia as of the end of June 2013.
