{"id":60304,"date":"2013-08-22T14:27:51","date_gmt":"2013-08-22T14:27:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2013\/08\/22\/239177\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:06:35","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:06:35","slug":"armenian-government-exempts-non-residents-from-income-tax-if-they-invest-in-eurobonds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2013\/08\/22\/60304\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenian  government exempts non-residents from income tax if they invest in eurobonds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, August 22. \/ ARKA \/.<\/strong> The Armenian government has made a set of amendments to the \u201cLaw on Profit Tax&#8221;, which will exempt non-residents\u2019 income earned from investing in the Armenian government USD-denominated bonds from income tax.<\/p>\n<p>Finance minister David Sargsyan told a government session today the amendments are\u00a0 designed to encourage non-residents to invest in\u00a0 Armenian Eurobonds.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier Armenia, rated Baa2 by Moody&#8217;s and BB- by Fitch, has hired Deutsche Bank, HSBC and JP Morgan to lead the issue of its debut US dollar-denominated Eurobonds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government approved finance minister&#8217;s proposal about an agreement with lead-managers to issue Eurobonds.
