{"id":61740,"date":"2013-09-18T11:27:23","date_gmt":"2013-09-18T11:27:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2013\/09\/18\/239351\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:06:59","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:06:59","slug":"ebrd-appoints-new-head-of-yerevan-office","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2013\/09\/18\/61740\/","title":{"rendered":"EBRD appoints new head of Yerevan office"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, September 18. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has appointed Mark Davis as the new head of the Yerevan Resident Office, the bank\u2019s press office reported on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Davis is replacing Valeriu Razlog, who has been appointed as Senior Banker in the Natural Resources team at the EBRD\u2019s headquarters in London.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to taking up the position at the EBRD, Davis was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs (2010-12), and Morgan Stanley (2007-10), focusing on debt capital markets, derivatives, distressed debt and structured commodity finance. Prior to working in the private sector, Davis served as an economist, policy advisor and development policy loan leader at the World Bank (1996-2006), with assignments in Moldova, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Davis, who is a US citizen, holds a Doctorate in Economics from Tulane University and is fluent in English, Russian and French.<\/p>\n<p>The EBRD has been working in Armenia since the country gained independence in 1991.
