{"id":63159,"date":"2013-10-04T09:13:36","date_gmt":"2013-10-04T09:13:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2013\/10\/04\/239477\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:07:22","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:07:22","slug":"armenias-finance-minister-discloses-geography-of-investors-in-first-ever-armenian-eurobonds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2013\/10\/04\/63159\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenia\u2019s finance minister discloses geography of investors in first-ever armenian eurobonds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, October 3. \/ ARKA \/.<\/strong> Armenia\u2019s finance minister David Sargsyan disclosed on Thursday the geography of investors in the first-ever issue of Armenian Eurobonds that netted the government $700 million.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, 42 % of investors are from the U.S., 23 % from the United Kingdom , 17% are from the continental Europe and the remaining 18 % are from other countries.<\/p>\n<p>The Eurobonds were sold on international markets on September 19 at a relatively high yield of at least 6 percent, reflecting Armenia\u2019s \u201cjunk\u201d credit ratings assigned by agencies like Moody\u2019s and Fitch. The Armenian finance ministry described the sale as a huge success, saying that investors were ready to buy as much as $3 billion worth of Armenian external bonds.
