{"id":64019,"date":"2013-10-17T12:29:49","date_gmt":"2013-10-17T12:29:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2013\/10\/17\/239569\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:07:39","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:07:39","slug":"armenian-government-grants-central-bank-15-million-euro-budget-guarantee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2013\/10\/17\/64019\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenian government grants Central Bank 15 million euro budget guarantee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, October 17. \/ ARKA \/.<\/strong> The Armenian government on Thursday decided to grant the Central Bank a 15 million euro budget guarantee for it to meet its commitment to German bank KfW.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012 June the Armenian government and KfW signed a 15 million euro loan agreement to finance an agricultural program\u2019s implementation in Armenia.<\/p>\n<p>The program is aimed at financing small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises. Most of the loan will be used to purchase agricultural machinery and equipment, consolidation of land plots and construction of greenhouses.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the KfW loan, the Armenian government will provide another $5 million for the program from a German government grant.<\/p>\n<p>According to the agreement, the loan agreement comes into force only after the Armenian government provides a budget guarantee.<\/p>\n<p>According to Article 11 of the \u2018Law on Budget System,\u201d the amounts due to non-fulfillment of the guaranteed debt are paid from the contingency fund.
