In 2013 the 12-month inflation rate was 5.6 %, which almost coincided with the upper threshold of the permissible fluctuation.<\/p>\n<p>According to the regulator\u2019s forecast, in 2014 the 12-month inflation will continue to decline to drop to the lowest threshold of permissible fluctuation in the third quarter.<\/p>\n<p>The drop, according to the regulator, will be mainly due to the weakening conditions of monetary policy and the results of the expanded fiscal policy; in the forecast horizon the inflation will range within the targeted indicators.<\/p>\n<p>In these circumstances, in the first quarter the Central Bank will continue weakening the conditions of monetary policy in response to still ongoing low economic activity and easing inflationary environment.<\/p>\n<p>The government expects a 5.2 % GDP growth this year.
