YEREVAN, March 24. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Chief executive officer of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK Stepan Gishyan died untimely at the age of 59, from disease, on Saturday March 22, the bank\u2019s press office reported.<\/p>\n

Having extensive experience in financial sector Gishyan became CEO of the bank in 1996.
\nIn 2003 Gishyan chaired the board of directors of ACBA Leasing and headed Alliance Francaise d\u2019Armenie in 2006.<\/p>\n

In 2006-2007 Stepan Gishyan was the chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia.<\/p>\n

Stepan Gishyan made a great contribution to development of agriculture and the banking sector in Armenia, says the report. His efforts brought Armenia-France relations to a new level.<\/p>\n

Gishyan was awarded Anania Shirakatsi medal by Armenia\u2019s president in 2001 and received the national order for merit from France president in 2009.<\/p>\n

The staff of the bank shares the grief and the feelings of the family, says the report.<\/p>\n
