The regulator has been making periodic currency market interventions from the start of the year.<\/p>\n<p>In particular, foreign currency interventions were made on a weekly basis since the beginning of February. Since then the regulator has sold $126.8 million to help the national currency to preserve its value.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Central Bank, from the beginning of the year the average exchange rate of the U.S. dollar against the Armenian national currency rose by 2%.
