{"id":74051,"date":"2014-04-04T10:54:04","date_gmt":"2014-04-04T10:54:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2014\/04\/04\/240571\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:10:44","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:10:44","slug":"bank-deposits-rose-by-22-4-to-1-5trln-drams-in-armenia-in-february","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2014\/04\/04\/74051\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank deposits rose by 22.4% to 1.5trln drams in Armenia in February"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 4. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Deposits in Armenia\u2019s commercial banks exceeded 1,551.5 billion drams as of the end of February, an increase of 22.4% compared to February 2013, ArmStat told ARKA.<\/p>\n<p>Deposits from residents amounted to a total of 1,161.7 billion drams, a 17.2% increase.<\/p>\n<p>Deposits from residents in local currency were 449.9bln drams (22.9% increase), those in foreign currency amounted to 711.8bln drams (13.9% increase).<\/p>\n<p>Call deposits from residents were about 329.8bln drams (6.3% increase) or 28.4% of all deposits, including 175.6bln in drams and 154.2bln in foreign currency.<\/p>\n<p>Time deposits amounted to 831.9bln drams in February (22.1% increase), including 274.3bln in drams and 557.6bln drams in foreign currency.<\/p>\n<p>There were a total of 21 commercial banks registered in Armenia as of the end of February 2014.
