{"id":75267,"date":"2014-04-29T14:08:19","date_gmt":"2014-04-29T14:08:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2014\/04\/29\/240744\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:11:15","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:11:15","slug":"some-10-1-billion-drams-paid-as-insurance-premiums-in-quarter-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2014\/04\/29\/75267\/","title":{"rendered":"Some 10.1 billion drams paid as insurance premiums in quarter one"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 29 \/ ARKA \/.<\/strong> The amount of total insurance premiums paid in the first quarter of 2014 to 7 insurance companies amounted to 10.1 billion drams, a decrease of 10% from the year before, according to ARKA news agency\u2019s bulletin \u201cInsurance Companies of Armenia&#8221; for the first quarter of 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Some 638.6 million drams were paid as reinsurance premiums, down from 739.8 million drams paid in the first quarter of 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The leading company in terms of collected premiums was Rosgosstrakh Armenia (3.3 billion drams, a 1.8% growth from the year before).<\/p>\n<p>It was followed by Ingo Armenia (2.3 billion drams, down 17.6%), Nairi Insurance &#8211; about 1.7 billion drams (up 5.2%), Sil Insurance -1.17 billion drams (up 14.6%), Reso &#8211; 898.7 million drams (decline by 29.2 %), Armenia Insurance -719 million drams (6.4% growth), Garant &#8211; Limens -1.88 million drams (decline of 99.7%).<\/p>\n<p>The overall amount of paid insurance indemnities amounted to 4.9 billion drams, having increased by 5.3%, and 834.4 million were paid as reinsured indemnities against 252.4 million drams paid in the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p>The assets of insurance companies in the first quarter amounted to 44.3 billion drams, an increase of 2.7% compared with the same period last year. Their liabilities amounted to 28.9 billion drams (a 1.5% increase), and their capital grew by 5.1% to 15.4 billion drams.
