{"id":76818,"date":"2014-06-16T13:27:08","date_gmt":"2014-06-16T13:27:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2014\/06\/16\/240984\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:11:58","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:11:58","slug":"ratio-of-armenias-financial-systems-assets-to-gdp-in-2013-was-77-1-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2014\/06\/16\/76818\/","title":{"rendered":"Ratio of Armenia\u2019s financial system\u2019s assets to GDP in 2013 was 77.1, report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, June 16. \/ ARKA \/.<\/strong> The ratio of Armenia\u2019s financial system\u2019s assets to GDP in 2013 was 77.1%, increasing by 8.5 percentage points from the previous year, according to the annual report of the Central Bank on the country\u2019s financial system, development and supervision.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In 2013 Armenia&#8217;s financial system demonstrated sufficient activity ensuring a faster growth rate of key\u00a0 balance sheet\u00a0 ratios to nominal GDP level&#8221;, the report says.<\/p>\n<p>However, despite the rapid growth of financial intermediation in recent years, its current level is still significantly lower when compared to some countries of Eastern Europe, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The largest players in the financial system market are still the banks, which account for 89.5% of total assets of the financial system.
