{"id":82680,"date":"2014-12-16T14:16:52","date_gmt":"2014-12-16T14:16:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2014\/12\/16\/242032\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:15:17","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:15:17","slug":"armenias-national-currency-hits-new-record-low-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2014\/12\/16\/82680\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenia\u2019s national currency hits new record low today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, December 16. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong>Armenia\u2019s national currency, the dram, has hit a new low today falling by 18.56 points from December 15 to 490.34 drams per one US Dollar, according to the Central Bank.<\/p>\n<p>The official exchange rate of the euro jumped by 28.25 points to 614.20 drams, updating the 9-year high.<\/p>\n<p>The NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange\u2019s official website has no information about whether any transaction was effected today.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Bank sold today the fixed amount of $4 million to local banks through an auction at the average weighted exchange rate of 526.32 drams per one US Dollar.<\/p>\n<p>The regulator began selling fixed amount of hard currency to local banks through auctions from December 8 in order to stabilize the local financial market.
