YEREVAN, December 23. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> All seven Armenia-based insurance companies paid a total of 8.9 billion drams in 45,827 car insurance compensation claims in the first eleven months of this year, a decrease of 6.1% compared to January-November 2013, a statement posted on the official website of Armenia\u2019s Car Insurers\u2019 Bureau says.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, the leading company by size of paid insurance claims was Rosgosstrakh \u2013 Armenia \u2013 3,363.5 million drams. Ingo Armenia was second with about 1,713.3 million drams and Nairi Insurance was the third with more than 1,061.3 million drams paid in insurance claims.<\/p>\n

Reso paid 1,054.6 million drams, Sil Insurance \u2013 856.9 million drams, Armenia Insurance \u2013 about 667.9 million drams and Garant Insurance – 42.9 million drams.<\/p>\n

Armenia\u2019s Car Insurers\u2019 Bureau paid about 115.8 million drams in car insurance compensations.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, in November alone the companies paid about 732 million drams in 3,989 claims. The average amount of a claim was 195,093 drams.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, at the end of November 2014 there were 450,479 insured vehicles in Armenia, by 1,615 more than in October.<\/p>\n

Number of compensations claims exceeded 45,683 in January-November, of them 1,006 were declined. Claims worth a total of 115,483,000 drams are in the process of payment.<\/p>\n

The amount of insurance premiums in January-November exceeded 15.5 billion drams, having increased by 10.5% compared to the same period last year.<\/p>\n
