{"id":84419,"date":"2015-02-12T08:30:56","date_gmt":"2015-02-12T08:30:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2015\/02\/12\/242348\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:16:17","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:16:17","slug":"ebrd-issues-coupon-bonds-worth-2bln-drams-in-nasdaq-omx-armenia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2015\/02\/12\/84419\/","title":{"rendered":"EBRD issues coupon bonds worth 2bln drams in NASDAQ OMX Armenia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, February 12. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) placed its third AMD denominated bonds (EBRDB3) worth a total of 2 billion drams in NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange, the press office of the stock exchange reported.<\/p>\n<p>Total bid volume amounted to 2.792 billion drams, and the cut-off yield rate was 14.5%.<\/p>\n<p>Placement was organized by Ameriabank CJSC, with the total number of bidder market participants being 4.<\/p>\n<p>The second first issue of AMD denominated bonds (EBRDB2) by EBRD is already listed at Bonds\u2019 Main list (Abond) of NASDAQ Armenia and will be redeemed on July 30, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>EBRD is an international organization formed under the Agreement Establishing the Bank dated 29th May, 1990 (the \u201cAgreement\u201d), signed by 40 countries, together with the European Economic Community and the European Investment Bank. The Agreement came into force on 28th March, 1991 and the Bank commenced operations on 15th April, 1991. The Bank has currently 66 members including Armenia. The Bank\u2019s principal office is in London.<\/p>\n<p>EBRD is one of the biggest investors in Armenia. It has implemented 136 programs in thecountry by the end of 2014 worth a total of about 803 million euros.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2008, Nordic exchange operator OMX Group acquired 100% of the shares of the Armenian Stock Exchange (Armex) and the Central Depository of Armenia (CDA). After the combination of NASDAQ and OMX in February 2008, Armex and CDA became fully owned by the NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. On January 26, 2009, \u201cArmenian Stock Exchange\u201d ojsc was officially renamed as \u201cNASDAQ OMX Armenia\u201d ojsc. On June 5, 2009, \u201cNASDAQ OMX Armenia\u201d ojsc became the owner of 100% of the shares of the \u201cCentral Depository of Armenia\u201d ojsc.
