{"id":84541,"date":"2015-02-17T11:36:15","date_gmt":"2015-02-17T11:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2015\/02\/17\/242363\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:16:21","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:16:21","slug":"central-bank-80243-fake-ruble-unites-and-2229-foreign-currency-banknotes-found-in-russia-in-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2015\/02\/17\/84541\/","title":{"rendered":"Central Bank: 80,243 fake ruble unites and 2,229 foreign currency banknotes found in Russia in 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, February 17. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Russia\u2019s law enforcement agencies found 80,243 fake units (mostly banknotes) of the Russian currency in 2014 \u2013 by 8,810 more than a year before, Banki.ru reports referring to the central bank\u2019s report on forgery in Russia\u2019s banking sector.<\/p>\n<p>Predominantly large denominations are forged \u2013 60,911 five-thousand-ruble notes 16,545 one-thousand-ruble notes and 2,100 five-hundred-ruble notes were among the detected counterfeits.<\/p>\n<p>Remarkable is that in Russia coins are forged as well \u2013 208 fake five-ruble coins and 18 ten-ruble coins were found here in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Federal District was singled out in the central bank&#8217;s report for the biggest number of the detected fake banknotes and coins (52,036) in 2014 and Far East for the smallest number (507).
