{"id":86266,"date":"2015-04-03T12:02:42","date_gmt":"2015-04-03T12:02:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2015\/04\/03\/242641\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:17:15","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:17:15","slug":"introduction-of-single-currency-in-eurasian-economic-union-space-not-feasible-now-armenian-central-bank","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2015\/04\/03\/86266\/","title":{"rendered":"Introduction of single currency in Eurasian Economic Union space not feasible now \u2013 Armenian Central bank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 3. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Armenak Darbinyan,a member of the board of the Central Bank of Armenia, thinks introduction of a single currency in the Eurasian Economic Union space is not feasible so far.<\/p>\n<p>He told journalists today that a single currency should be adopted at the most mature stage of integration, which is still not reached.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd to reach it is necessary ensure a full-scale operation of the Customs Union, common market, economic union, including labor markets, capital and services, and it is also necessary to ensure full integration of financial markets,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Pointing out the European Union, Darbinyan said that it faces problems since before adoption of a single currency it didn\u2019t complete harmonization of its tax and budgetary policy.<br \/>\nHe is convinced that the Eurasian Economic Union countries should pass a long road to come close to a single currency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is still difficult to indicate particular terms, since integration is a time-consuming process.
