{"id":86796,"date":"2015-04-16T18:37:10","date_gmt":"2015-04-16T18:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2015\/04\/16\/242731\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:17:31","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:17:31","slug":"six-ethnic-armenians-are-among-200-richest-russian-citizens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2015\/04\/16\/86796\/","title":{"rendered":"Six ethnic Armenians are among 200 richest Russian citizens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 16. \/ ARKA \/.<\/strong> Six Russian businessmen of Armenian origin are in the latest Forbes\u2019 list of the 2000 richest Russian citizens.<\/p>\n<p>According to Forbes rating, Russia&#8217;s richest Armenian is Samvel Karapetyan (head of Tashir Group), who has retained his 26th position with the $4 billion fortune ($0.3 billion less from the previous rating).<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Khachaturov (Rosgosstrakh insurance company and RTS Bank) is 54th with $1.6 billion fortune. His position deteriorated by 14 points, and the wealth slashed by $1 billion.<br \/>\nRuben Vardanyan has risen 32 positions in the rating to the 92nd place with $0.95 billion. It has grown by $0.1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Brothers Nikolai and Sergei Sarkisov (RESO-Garantia insurance company) are 105th and 102nd respectively, seven notches down from last year\u2019s rating. Each brother has $0.9 billion. Last yea they lost $0.2 billion. Investor Albert Avdolyan with $0.75 billion is 120th. He has risen by 13 points.<\/p>\n<p>Metals tycoon Vladimir Potanin has become Russia&#8217;s wealthiest businessman with an estimated fortune of $15.4 billion, overtaking Alisher Usmanov who had worn the crown for three years in a row.<\/p>\n<p>Potanin, the chief executive and co-owner of nickel and palladium miner Norilsk Nickel, has seen his wealth rise $2.8 billion over the past year, propelling him from the No. 8 position he held in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Usmanov slid to the No. 3 position as his fortune tumbled $4.2 billion to $14.4 billion.
