{"id":89567,"date":"2015-07-09T16:37:12","date_gmt":"2015-07-09T16:37:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2015\/07\/09\/243202\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:19:00","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:19:00","slug":"armeconombank-becomes-member-of-securities-settlement-system-of-central-depository","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2015\/07\/09\/89567\/","title":{"rendered":"ARMECONOMBANK becomes member of securities settlement system of central depository"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, July 9. \/ ARKA \/.<\/strong> On July 8, 2015 &#8220;ARMECONOMBANK&#8221; OJSC became a Member of securities settlement system and thus was granted statuses of Depository system account operator and regulated market settlement system member (RMSSM).<\/p>\n<p>Starting from July 20, 2015 ARMECONOMBANK customers can easily reach services of \u201cCentral Depository of Armenia\u201d OJSC (CDA), specifically all the services related to registry keeping of joint-stock companies and securities safekeeping.<\/p>\n<p>To recall, in March 2013 the CDA launched a new business model of depository system in Armenia, according to which the above mentioned services will be provided to customers via account operators &#8211; investment companies and banks, which signed the relevant agreement with the CDA.<br \/>\nARMECONOMBANK joined the list of 14 Account operators of depository system and 15 RMSSM.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cARMECONOMBANK\u201d OJSC (the former Armenian Republican Bank &#8220;Zhilsotsbank&#8221; of USSR ) was the first amongst the state-owned banks of Armenia to be reorganized into a joint-stock bank and to be registered in the Central Bank of Armenia on August 26, 1991.<\/p>\n<p>The bank became a member of NASDAQ OMX Armenia in February 2009. Since 2002 common nominal stocks of the bank have been listed at stock exchange on secondary B list. Armeconombank registered in 1991 is owned by EBRD (20%), Saribek Sukiasyan (22.6%), Khachatur Sukiasyan (19.5%) and Robert Sukiasyan (15.3 %.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCentral Depository of Armenia\u201d OJSC (CDA) is the only centralized registry keeper and custodian in Armenia. CDA participate to the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories and is a member of Association of National Numbering Agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Starting from 2014 CDA is the registry keeper of funded pension system participants and the custodian of mandatory pension funds assets.
