{"id":92180,"date":"2015-10-22T07:38:09","date_gmt":"2015-10-22T07:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2015\/10\/22\/243698\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:20:34","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:20:34","slug":"eurasian-development-banks-strategic-objective-is-to-build-up-its-loan-portfolio-pankin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2015\/10\/22\/92180\/","title":{"rendered":"Eurasian Development Bank&#8217;s strategic objective is to build up its loan portfolio &#8211; Pankin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, October 21. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The Eurasian Development Bank&#8217;s strategic objective is to build up its loan portfolio, Dmitry Pankin, the bank governor, said in an exclusive interview with ARKA News Agency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur loan portfolio has significantly shrunk over last two years, and therefore it is very important to the Eurasian Development Bank to reverse this trend, spur the work and form a more effective team for working on project financing and expansion of lending despite the hard situation and signs of crisis, production cuts and shortage of investment projects,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Pankin said that the bank&#8217;s capacity is enough to do that.<br \/>\n\u201cWe are among the few banks that didn&#8217;t come under sanctions, and therefore we can attract financing from western capital markets,\u201d the banker said.<\/p>\n<p>Eurasian Development Bank was established by Russia and Kazakhstan in January 2006 to foster development of market economies of participant countries. The bank\u2019s member countries are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
