{"id":93487,"date":"2015-12-08T11:36:02","date_gmt":"2015-12-08T11:36:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2015\/12\/08\/243952\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:21:25","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:21:25","slug":"armeconombank-and-bta-bank-armenia-merging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2015\/12\/08\/93487\/","title":{"rendered":"Armeconombank and BTA Bank (Armenia) merging"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, December 7. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Armeconombank and BTA Bank (Armenia) intend to merge, the press office of Armeconombank reported on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the press release, the heads of Kazakh&#8217;s BTA Bank and Armenia&#8217;s Armeconombank signed an appropriate memorandum in Almaty.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abThe signed memorandum will allow the parties to embark on merger procedures \u2013 to convene shareholder assemblies and to obtain the central bank&#8217;s authorization,\u00bb the press office says.<\/p>\n<p>Armeconombank was established on August 26, 1991. The EBRD holds 20% of the bank&#8217;s shares, 22.6% belong to Saribek Sukiasyan, 19.5% to Khachatur Sukiasyana and 15.3% to Robert Sukiasyan.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;BTA Bank&#8217; CJSC was established in 1991 as the heir of International Investments Bank CJSC.
