{"id":96849,"date":"2016-04-12T12:33:17","date_gmt":"2016-04-12T12:33:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2016\/04\/12\/244464\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:23:04","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:23:04","slug":"transactions-made-by-using-payment-cards-surge-by-37-8-to-106-8-billion-drams-in-february","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2016\/04\/12\/96849\/","title":{"rendered":"Transactions made by using payment cards surge by 37.8% to 106.8 billion drams in February"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 11. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Payment cards issued by Armenian and foreign banks were used in Armenia to make 106.8 billion drams worth transactions in 2016 February, a 38.7% surge when compared to the previous month, according to Central Bank of Armenia monthly bulletin for February.<\/p>\n<p>The total number of transactions made by using payment cards in 2016 February increased by 29.5% to 2,363,145.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Central Bank, the payment cards issued by Armenian and foreign banks were used in February to make 5 billion drams worth online (Internet) transactions, an increase of about 20.2% from January, while the total number of Internet transactions made by using payment cards saw a 12.3% growth to 251,461.<\/p>\n<p>The amount of transactions made by the payment cards issued by Armenia and foreign banks via ATMs jumped by 41.1% to 82.8 billion drams, while the total number of transactions increased by 34.7% to 1,793,364.<\/p>\n<p>According to Central Bank data, the amount of transactions made by using payment cards through POS-terminals and imprinters in February amounted to about 19.1 billion drams, an increase of about 34.4% from January, while the total number of transactions grew by 18.2% to 318,320.
