{"id":97438,"date":"2016-04-28T14:10:55","date_gmt":"2016-04-28T14:10:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2016\/04\/28\/244570\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:23:24","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:23:24","slug":"amd-173-billion-invested-in-processing-industry-by-armenias-commercial-banks-in-february-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2016\/04\/28\/97438\/","title":{"rendered":"AMD 173 billion invested in processing industry by Armenia\u2019s commercial banks in February 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 28. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Armenia\u2019s commercial banks invested AMD 173 billion in processing industry in February 2016 showing a 1.46% month-on-month growth, the Central Bank of Armenia reports in a fresh issue of its monthly bulletin.<\/p>\n<p>The banks have made their investments mostly in foreign currencies \u2013 80.7% of their total investments in the country\u2019s processing industry or AMD 145 billion (1.7% growth, compared with the amount recorded in the previous month).<\/p>\n<p>Their dram investments in the processing industry totaled AMD 28 billion in February showing a 1% decline.<\/p>\n<p>The banks\u2019 investments in food industry made up 31.4% of their total investments in the procession industry \u2013 about 31.4%.<\/p>\n<p>Lending to food industry amounted to AMD 54.3 billion in late February against AMD 53.9 billion in late January.<\/p>\n<p>Armenia has 21 registered commercial banks now.
