YEREVAN, May 6. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> VTB Bank (Armenia) has financed rehabilitation therapy for 60 children from poor families with cerebral palsy (CP), the bank’s press service reported today. It said the children are in the charge of Hay Mayrer (Armenian Mothers) non-governmental organization.<\/p>\n

The Yerevan-based bank said the move is part of its corporate social responsibility policy that focuses on education, culture and charity projects.<\/p>\n

The bank’s cooperation with this charity organization, dealing with the problems of children with cerebral palsy started in 2014. Since then the bank has been providing funding for rehabilitation programs and covering other expenses.<\/p>\n

VTB Bank\u00a0 (Armenia) CEO Yuri Gusev said that social responsibility is an important component in the development of every company, adding that VTB Bank (Armenia) has always been actively involved in the lives of children, especially those in need of care and support .<\/p>\n

“We are working closely with the Armenian Mothers, and for us it is a big pleasure to support children in such an important issue as rehabilitation therapy. We sincerely hope that water therapy will bring positive results, and it will be another big step forward for each of the children,” he said.<\/p>\n

In turn, chairman of Armenian Mothers NGO Narine Manukyan noted that hydrotherapy has long ago proved to be one of the most effective methods of physiotherapy rehabilitation of cerebral palsy.<\/p>\n

“Thanks to VTB Bank (Armenia) 60 children from poor families will be able to take a course of rehabilitation. We are very grateful to VTB Bank (Armenia) for giving children this opportunity, as well as for continued assistance,” she said.<\/p>\n
