{"id":98007,"date":"2016-05-17T12:55:20","date_gmt":"2016-05-17T12:55:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2016\/05\/17\/244660\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:23:40","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:23:40","slug":"demand-deposits-of-individuals-and-private-companies-in-armenias-banks-shrink-6-2-in-1st-q-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2016\/05\/17\/98007\/","title":{"rendered":"Demand deposits of individuals and private companies in Armenia\u2019s banks shrink 6.2% in 1st Q 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, May 17. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Demand deposits of individuals and private companies in Armenia\u2019s banks have shrunk 6.2% since the beginning of this year to AMD 200.3 billion in late March, according to a fresh issue of ARKA News Agency\u2019 s \u2018Banks of Armenia\u2019 quarterly bulletin.<\/p>\n<p>HSBC Bank Armenia, Ameriabank, VTB Bank (Armenia), ConverseBank and Inecobank are topping ARKA ranking with their aggregate demand deposits amounting to AMD 122.8 billion and making up 61.3% of the total amount of individuals and private companies\u2019 demand deposits at Armenia\u2019s banks.<\/p>\n<p>HSBC Bank Armenia is singled out in the ranking for its AMD 41.3 billion, the largest amount of demand deposits, despite the bank accounted for a 4.6% decline in its demand deposit portfolio in the first quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Ameriabank, with its AMD 26.3 billion and 18% decline came second in the ranking. VTB Bank (Armenia), with its AMD 24.9 billion and 5.54% growth, ranked third.
