Their number grew by 3.5% to 173,700, it said.<\/p>\n<p>The amount of cashless transactions made by using plastic cards in 2016 March rose by 3.5% over the previous month to 4.5 billion drams.<\/p>\n<p>The central bank says also the cash withdrawn by using plastic cards abroad totaled the equivalent of 1.52 billion drams, a 2.8% growth over February.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty commercial banks in Armenia issue and service\u00a0 plastic cards, and 18 of them are members of the national ArCa payment system.
