Average rate of Armenian dram to US dollar is 377.22 for $1 on January 19

The total investment portfolio of commercial banks in Armenia at the end of June 2026 amounted to 1,933,341,220 thousand drams, a decrease of 202.38 billion drams, or 9.48%, year-to-date.

YEREVAN, August 21. /ARKA/. The average market exchange rate of the US dollar to the Armenian dram on the Armenian foreign exchange market on August 21, 2026, fell by 0.1 point to 365.16 drams compared to August 20.

The total volume of investments by Armenian commercial banks in securities as of the end of June 2026 amounted to 1,922,826,829 thousand drams.

The international rating agency S&P Global Ratings affirmed the long- and short-term sovereign ratings of the Republic of Armenia at 'BB-/B', maintaining a positive outlook, the Ministry of Finance reported.

Armenia's international reserves increased by approximately 40% year-on-year to a record $6.9 billion in June 2026, helping to strengthen the country's external reserves despite heightened geopolitical risks, according to a report by international rating agency S&P Global Ratings.
