Armenian banknote with nominal price of 100 thousand drams took the second place in the competition of IACA

YEREVAN, December 3. /ARKA/. Armenian banknote with nominal price of 100 thousand drams issued in 2009 occupied the second place in the competition “The best banknote of the year’ organized by International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA).

This competition is organized already the forth time where banknotes issued 18 months before the start of the competition participate. This year banknotes from Korea, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Paraguay, Macao, Tunis and Scotland are introduced.

100-thousand banknote occupied the third place in the competition “Banknote of the year” of International Bank Note Society (IBNS) where nine banknotes from different countries participate ($1 – 359.4 drams).  –0—

The total net profit (after tax) of Armenian banks in Q1 2026 amounted to AMD 103.48 billion, compared to AMD 101.18 billion in Q1 2025, an increase of 2.27%. Moreover, compared to the previous quarter, Q4 2025, the increase was 5.84%.
