IFC finances 18 projects in Armenia since 200, worth $87 million

YEREVAN, December 30, /ARKA/. The International Financial Corporation (IFC) has financed 18 projects in Armenia since 2000, worth $87 million, said today Arman Barkhudarian, an IFC advisor on investment issues.

“Our projects are aimed primarily at financing small and medium businesses and private sector. We also offer advisory services and plan to step up our operations in Armenia,’ he said.

IFC has been in Armenia since 1995, offering consulting services. In 2000 he started also financing investment projects to help boost Armenia’s financial markets, industry, energy and mining.  -0-
