Central Bank of Armenia places 2.5 billion drams worth mid-term state treasury bonds

Global institutional investors own approximately 7-8% of Armenia's dram-denominated government debt, stated Central Bank Chairman Martin Galstyan.

Paralympic gold medalists and U.S. Sports Envoys Rose Hollermann and Steve Serio visited Armenia to conduct a wheelchair basketball masterclass and an exhibition game. The average market exchange rate for the US dollar against the Armenian dram, formed on the Armenian foreign exchange market as of June 24, 2026, fell by 0.15 points compared to June 23, to 367.93 drams.

Converse Bank and Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed a financing agreement of up to USD 15 million aimed at expanding access to finance for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Armenia, including women-led businesses, and promoting sustainable investments.

As of May 31, 2026, Yerevan's budget revenues totaled 40.3 billion drams, compared to the planned 36.4 billion drams for January-May, reported David Hakobyan, Acting Head of the Revenue Accounting and Collection Department at the Yerevan City Hall.
