Number Of Payment Cards Of Ameriabank As Of July 31 Was 22.6 Thousand

YEREVAN, August 10. /ARKA/. The number of banking payment cards of Ameriabank as of July 31 was 22.6 thousand increased by 58.6%.

“Volume of cash and non-cash operations implemented by plastic cards exceeded 26 billion drams from January 1-July 31, of which 25.4% are non-cash operations”, states the press-release.

As of July 31, the volume of cash operations by the cards of Ameriabank in AMD increased by 59.9% and the number of implemented transactions – 92.5%.

Ameriabank is investing significant amounts in the expansion of the network of ATMs with the purpose of effective service of plastic cards. At present, 59 ATMs of Ameriabank are placed in Yerevan which serve the plastic cards ArCa, VISA, VISA Electron and MasterCard. There are 15 ATMs in the regions and another two – in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Policy of Ameriabank is also targeted at the increase of the number of POS-terminals in trade and service points. As of July 31, the number of POS-terminals of the bank was 474 increased by 146% compared to the beginning of the year. The number of trade points giving discounts to the clients of Ameriabank was about 200 and the size of discounts is 40%.

Ameriabank cjsc (earlier “Armimpexbank” renamed in May 2008) was established in July 1992 on the basis of the Armenian branch of Vnesheconombank of USSR. On September 8, 1992 the Bank got license of CBA on banking activity. In August 2007 the shares of the bank were obtained by the union “T-D-A Holdings Limited” merged with the leading and the largest investment-banking company of Russia – the group “Troyka Dialog”.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank is Ruben Vardanyan, Chairman of Directorate-General Director Artak Hanesya.
