Armenian commercial banks buy $65.1 million at local Forex market from January 16-20

YEREVAN, January 20. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks bought a total of $65.1 million, 5.5 million euros and 531.5 million Russian rubles at local forex market from January 16-20 at 387.59 drams per one USD, 494.03 drams per one euro and 12.16 drams per one ruble respectively, the Central Bank of Armenia said.
It said the banks also sold $82.5 million at 388.7 drams per one USD, €9.2 million at 498.04 drams per one Euro and 118.2 million rubles at 12.38 drams per one ruble respectively.
The combined amount of transactions in USD at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange amounted tо $13.3 million at an average weighted exchange rate of 388.91 drams per one USD. No deals in euro or rubles were affected. The amount of inter-bank transactions with selling and buying of greenback amounted to $2.95 million at the rate of 387.72 drams per one USD. Besides, banks provided 18.9 billion dram worth loans in Armenian national currency from January 9 to 15 and $26.6 million loans in USD. ($1 – 387.29 drams).-0-
