Armenia’s economic activity rises 6.3 % in February from year earlier

YEREVAN, March 20. /ARKA/. Economic activity in Armenia climbed 6.3 % in February 2012 from a year earlier and 4.9 % from January, according to Armenia’s National Statistical Service.
At the same time, economic activity reported 5.6 % increase throughout January-February compared to the same period last year.
In contrast to GDP, the rate of economic activity is calculated in terms of
realized economic activities ; it is not based on the volume of added
value and does not include net taxes on production and financial services,
which are calculated indirectly.–0–
