Average interest rate on individual deposits drop by 0.4 p.p. from January to 8.9%

YEREVAN, March 26. / ARKA /. The average interest rate on individual deposits in Armenia in February this year dropped by 0.4 p.p. from January to 8.9%, the Central Bank of Armenia said in a statement on its official website.
It said also the average rate on private deposits at the end of February was 7.7%, down 0.6 percentage points from the previous month. The average interest rate on deposits in February decreased by 0.1 percentage points to 8.3%. There are 21 commercial banks in Armenia. ($1 – 388.24drams). -0-
