July’s deposits to Armenia’s banks up 1% to over AMD 1080 bln

YEREVAN, September 11. /ARKA/. Deposits to the banks of Armenia rose by 1% in July from June to over 1 080 billion drams, according to the data published on the Central Bank’s website.

The data show that deposits in drams climbed by 1.5% to nearly 325.8 billion drams, and in foreign currency- by 0.8% to over 755 billion drams within the reported period.

Residents’ deposits made up 95.5% of the total deposits to the banks (310.5 billion drams), reporting no change from June’s result.

As of June 31, 2012 there are 21 commercial banks in Armenia. ($1 – 412.1 drams). —0-
