Armenia’s economic activity advances 4.4 percent in September

YEREVAN, October 22. / ARKA /. Armenia’s economic activity in September 2012 advanced 4.4 percent if compared to 2011 September, the National Statistical Service (ArmStat) told ARKA.

According to ArmStat’s preliminary data, economic activity in September if compared with August grew by 14%. The index for the first nine months of 2012 grew by 7.6 percent when compared to the first nine months of 2011.

Unlike GDP, the economic activity index is calculated in terms of implemented economic activity, not on the basis of value added cost and does not contain net taxes on production and financial intermediation services, which are calculated indirectly. -0-
