Armenia’s inflation at 2.5% in Jan-Feb, with cis average inflation level at 1.4%

YEREVAN, April 4. /ARKA/. 2.5% inflation is recorded in Armenia in January-February, as compared to the same period of 2012, with an average inflation in CIS being at 1.4%, the CIS Statistical Committee reported.

Consumer prices fell by 0.4% in Armenia in February against January, with inflation levels in CIS averaging 0.5% in February versus January, according to the report.

Highest rise in consumer prices in February against January was recorded in Belarus (1.2%), followed by Kazakhstan (0.8%), Russia (0.6%), Tajikistan (0.6%) and Azerbaijan (0.5%). Kyrgyzstan and Moldova have recorded 0.4% and 0.3% increase respectively.
In the period, consumer prices dropped in Ukraine by 0.1%.  –0–
