YEREVAN, January 30. /ARKA/. Yield of Armenian euro bonds has been declining since September 2013 and is 5.85-5.8% now, as compared to 6.25% in September, Armenia’s minister of finance David Sargsyan told a press conference Wednesday.
Armenia issued its debut euro bonds on September 19, 2013. Total volume of the issue was $700 million; the maturity was seven years and yield at 6.25%. The main underwriters were Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, HSBC Bank plc и J.P.Morgan Securities plc.
The debut issue was of great importance to the country, the minister said. Demand has exceeded the issuing volume by several times and reached $3 billion pointing to investors’ confidence toward Armenia, he said.
Sargsyan said interest rates as well are a good indication of investor’s confidence.
The reduced rates show investor trust has increased, he said.–0–
