Households’ deposits in foreign currencies in Armenia grow 2.5% to AMD 573.5 billion in May

YEREVAN, July 11. /ARKA/. Households’ deposits in foreign currencies in Armenia’s commercial banks totaled AMD 573.5 billion in late May 2014 – 2.5% month-on-month growth, the Central Bank of Armenia reports on its website.

Households’ time deposits totaled more than AMD 484.2 billion and made up 84.4% of their total foreign currency deposits in late May after growing 0.7% over the month.

Dram deposits of Armenia’s households grew 1.8% to AMD 272 billion.

The total amount of deposits in Armenia’s commercial banks was AMD 1 630.7 billion in late May 2014 – 1.7% month-on-month growth.
