Some 7.2 billion drams paid in insurance premiums in quarter three

YEREVAN, December 3. /ARKA/. Total insurance premiums paid in the third quarter of 2014 to 8 insurance companies amounted to 7.2 billion drams, a decrease of 33.3%, according to ArmStat.

According to the statistics, personal insurance premiums amounted to 1,786.9 million drams and car insurance premiums were 3,164.5 million drams. Premiums paid for property insurance and liability insurance were 1,575.6 million drams and 340.9 million drams respectively. Other insurance premiums amounted to 278.5 million drams in the period.

Insurance payments by insurance companies in the third quarter totaled 3.9 billion drams, a reduction of 54.8% compared to the quarter before.

Mandatory car insurance payments amounted to 2,271.5 million drams. In the period, insurance payments totaled 1,054.4mln drams on personal insurance, 378.8 million drams on property insurance, 15.3 mln drams on liability insurance and 171.5 million drams on other insurance.

Insurance amount under the current agreements were 10,453 billion drams in the reporting period (8.7% increase).

Number of valid insurance agreements was 628,202 in the third quarter. ($1 – 442.33 drams).–0—
