VTB Bank (Armenia) denies media allegation it sold $200,000 to individual at 760 drams rate

YEREVAN, December 17. / ARKA /. The Russian-owned VTB Bank (Armenia) has denied today a report in an Armenian online publication claiming that the bank sold $200,000 to an individual at the exchange rate of 760 drams per one US dollar.

The allegation was posted by 1in.am news portal. The bank said in a statement that when the report appeared on 1in.am at 1.09 pm the exchange rate set by the bank for all its branches was 550 drams per one US dollar.

VTB Bank (Armenia) is a 100 percent subsidiary of Russian VTB Bank. It runs 67 branches across Armenia, more than any other local commercial banks.-0-
