Sergey Arakelyan appointed as new director of Idram

YEREVAN, June 10. / ARKA /. Sergey Arakelyan was appointed as new director of “IDRAM” LLC payment company based on a decision of the Central Bank of Armenia chairman of June 3, 2015, the press service of the payment company said in a press release today.

It said Sergey Arakelyan had served as acting director of IDRAM since April 1 and before that he had served as chief operating officer from February to March 2015.

From 2010 to 2014 he worked as vice president of sales and customer service at ‘K-Telecom”. From 2005 to 2010 he held various positions in the sales department of “K-Telecom”.

In 2005, he worked as officer manager for the state-run office of community development programs.
Sergey Arakelyan is a graduate of the Economics Faculty of the Yerevan State University. He also earned a master’s degree from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems of the American University of Armenia.

IDRAM LLC is the operator of “Idram” payment system. It was founded on May 8 of 2008.   The company was licensed by the Central Bank of Armenia on 29th of December, 2009 (“License for the realization of money transfers N13”).

Idram LLC was the first in Armenia to receive permission to issue electronic money from the Central Bank on 6th of March, 2012.  The company’s goal is to develop capabilities of money transfers in Internet-environment. -0-
