Dram deposits at Armenia’s banks shrink 2.1% in November as dollar deposits grow 2.8%

YEREVAN, January 13. /ARKA/. Deposits in drams at Armenia’s commercial banks reduced 2.1% over November to AMD 509.5 billion, while dollar deposits grew 2.8% to AMD 944.6 billion, the Central Bank of Armenia reports on its website.

Deposits in drams made up 64.9% of the aggregate deposits of residents in Armenia’s commercial banks, which totaled AMD 1 454.1 billion in late November after growing 1% over one month.

Demand deposits shrank 2% to AMD 431.2 billion and time deposits grew 2.4% to AMD 1 022.8 billion.
Aggregate deposits at Armenia’s banks amounted to AMD 1 882.9 billion in late November 2015 showing a 1.5% month-on-month increase. —0—-
