1.4% deflation in Armenia in Jan-March 2016

YEREVAN, April 21. /ARKA/. Consumer prices in Armenia went 1.4% down in Jan-March 2016, compared with the same period a year before, the National Statistical Service reports.

They shed 2 percent in March 2016, compared with the same month a year earlier.

According to the statistical report, year-on-year economic activity growth was recorded at 5.5% in Jan-March 2016.

In the government budget for 2016, inflation is projected at 4% (±1.5%) and GDP growth at 2.2%. –0—
