Armenian investment companies’ transactions grown 41.2% to AMD 57.4 billion in April

YEREVAN, June 24. /ARKA/. The total amount of transactions formalized by Armenia’s investment companies reached AMD 57.4 billion in April 2016 showing a 41.2% year-on-year growth and 15.2% month-on-month contraction, the Central Bank of Armenia reports in a fresh issue of its monthly bulletin.

The regulator says investment companies’ transactions were mostly made on repo contracts (95.5%).

Repo deals amounted to AMD 53.6 billion accounting for a 48.2% year-on-year growth.

Investment companies’ transactions with equity securities totaled AMD 46 million, with corporate bonds

AMD 305 million and with government bonds AMD 3 377 million in April 2016.
Transactional of banks providing investment services amounted to AMD 281.4 billion in April 2016 – 8.54 times less than the result of the same month a year earlier.

Eight companies and 20 banks providing investment services operate in Armenia now. ($1 – AMD 476.32). –0—
