Armenian central bank leaves refinancing rate unchanged

YEREVAN, January 24. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Central Bank said today it decided to leave the refinancing rate unchanged at 5.5%. It said the Lombard repo rate is 7% and the interest rate on funds raised from banks is 4%.

In 2019, Armenia’s Central Bank cut the refinancing rate twice, first on January 29 by 0.25 percentage points, to 5.75%, and then on September 10 by another 0.25 percentage points, to 5. 5%.

Prior to that, the regulator had cut the refinancing rate in March 2017, setting it at 6%. -0-
